How does the Stay and Spend Scheme Work?

The scheme allows Irish taxpayers to claim a tax credit against hotel accommodation or restaurant food and non-alcoholic drinks purchased between October 1st and April 30th. Under the scheme, customers are entitled to a tax credit equal to 20% of their hotel and/or restaurant bill.

Stay and Spend Tax Rebate

Customers must spend a minimum of €25 in a single transaction with a maximum total spend of €625 per individual or €1250 per couple. An individual can make a single transaction or multiple transactions to be eligible for this Stay and Spend initiative.

How do I avail of the stay and spend scheme?

You can only claim for Stay and Spend expenses if you have receipts to prove your claim. The easiest way to submit your receipts is using the Revenue Receipts Tracker mobile app.
