Mahon Golf Course 

Mahon Golf Course is located on Ireland’s first purpose-made Municipal Golf Course. In 1978 Cork City Council commissioned Mr. Eddie Hackett to design an 18-hole golf course on the Mahon Peninsula. This was to be Ireland’s first purpose made Municipal Golf Course and was Mahon Golf Course financially assisted by the Golfing Union of Ireland. The Course was officially opened on the 3rd September 1980 and is called the Ted McCarthy Municipal Golf Course. The course as it is now constituted proves a very challenging test to all grades of Golfers.

Douglas Golf Course

A warm welcome awaits the visiting golfer at Douglas Golf Club – a club famous for its challenging and enjoyable golf course with stunning views over Cork City and Cork Inner Harbour.

Douglas Golf Club was founded in 1909, with the original course being designed by golfing legend and six-time British Open winner, Harry Vardon. The course was then extended and altered by celebrated course architect of Augusta National, Alister MacKenzie, in 1924.

The course is kept in immaculate condition all year round and is widely renowned for having some of the best-kept greens in Ireland. Set on a plateau overlooking Cork City and Inner Harbour, Douglas Golf Club offers spectacular views from both the golf course and the Douglas Golf Courseclubhouse. Raffeencreek Golf Club

Set on the shores of Cork harbour Raffeen Creek Golf Club is a 9-hole course that enjoys a wonderful setting on the shores of Cork harbour with beautiful views of the harbour and surrounding area. The natural lake which is a feature of holes 8 and 9 is a very picturesque bird sanctuary.

The Club was officially opened by the President of the Golfing Union of Ireland in June 1989 followed by an exhibition fourball featuring professionals Christy O’Connor Snr, Batt Murphy (Monkstown GC), and Irish International Amateurs Tom Cleary and Denis O’Sullivan.

Cork Golf Club

Cork Golf Club is located at Little Island close to Cork City. The club is a proud member of the established Alister Mackenzie society. Cork Golf Club was formed in 1888 by prominent Cork businessmen. The first location was at Rathcooney Hill above Glanmire village. Thereafter a number of moves were made while searching for a better site. Scenically situated in Cork Harbour, the Club has hosted many major amateur and professional Championships over the years including the Irish Open.
